FIRSTLY PLEASE READ DOWN THE FULL DESCRIPTION AND SEE ALL THE PHOTOS BEFORE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS LP ….I HAVE JUST PLAYED THE LP THROUGH …AND IT'S A GOOD LISTEN…..THANKS…
COVER
THE COVER IS IN NICE SHAPE , IT DOES HAVE SOME FAINT CREASES IN THE LAMINATE, BUT THESE ARE ONLY NOTICABLE WHEN YOU TILT THE RECORD IN THE LIGHT , THERE IS SOME AGE RELATED , SLIGHT YELLOWING . THE BACK OF THE COVER HAS MINIMAL WEAR , SO MANY OF THESE ARE WORN ON THE BLACK BACK,BUT THIS ONES QUITE NICE THE FLAPS ARE GOOD WITH NO CHIPS OR SCUFFS AND THE SPINE IS ALSO GOOD . THE SLEEVE IS MADE BY GARROD & LOFTHOUSE LTD.. PATENTS PENDING WITH THE DR ROBERT MISS PRESS .. THIS COVER FEELS SOLID WHEN YOU PICK IT UP , NOT FLIMSY LIKE SO MANY THAT HAVE BEEN MISS HANDLED . OVERALL A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF THE SLEEVE WHICH I WOULD GRADE AS VG+ IF NOT BETTER .
INNER SLEEVE
THIS IS AN ORIGONAL EMITEX INNER SLEEVE , THOUGH IT IS NOT THE ONE THAT WAS WITH THE LP , UNFORTUNATELY THAT ONE WAS STUCK TO THE RECORD , SO WAS THROWN AWAY, PROBABLEY BEEN STORED IN A LOFT FOR A FEW YEARS.
THE RECORD
THIS IS THE RARE FIRST PRESS WITH SIDE ONE MATRIX -2 AND SIDE 2 MATRIX -1 , BUT LIKE I MENTIONED ABOVE WHEN I GOT THIS LP THE INNER SLEEVE WAS STUCK TO THE VINYL , I HAVE GIVEN IT SEVERAL CLEANS BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE SOME OF THE MARKS FAINTLY , THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED QUITE A LOT , SIDE 1 MORE THAN SIDE 2 AND DOES DISPLAY SOME LIGHT MARKS . BUT IT PLAYS GREAT , WITH SOME VERY LIGHT CRACKLE ON THE INTRO AND RUN OFF GROOVES , ON SIDE ONE THERE IS ONE POP ON “ TAX MAN” AND TO TICKS ON “YELLOW SUBMARINE “ …SIDE TWO PLAYS GREAT WITH NO SURFACE NOISE ,CLICKS, POPS ETC….OVERALL I WOULD GRADE THE RECORD VISUALLY AS VG MINUS…… BUT PLAY GRADED AD NEAR EX…..
LABELS
THE LABELS ARE NICE WITH JUST SOME FAINT SPINDLE TRAILS , BUT NO NOTICABLE WEAR AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE WITH THE DR. ROBERT ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL…
